Arrival by Car
From Budapest
Take motorway M3 and exit at Füzesabony, then continue on main road 33 towards Lake Tisza (Tiszafüred, Debrecen) to reach Poroszló.
From Szolnok
Take main road No. 4 and turn off at Kunhegyes onto road No. 34, then at Tiszafüred join road No. 33, which leads to Poroszló.
From Debrecen
Take road No. 33 via Hortobágy and Tiszafüred until you arrive in Poroszló.
From Miskolc
Take motorway M30, then motorway M3 towards Budapest and leave at exit No. 128, then drive towards Borsodivánka to reach Poroszló.
From Eger
Via Andornaktálya, Maklár and Füzesabony, continue on road No. 33, or follow the M25 – M3 – 33 route.
Gates and Parking around the Ecocentre
Gate No. 1 (entrance, exit and ticket office)
This gate primarily serves individual visitors and families and is located at the main entrance, 41 Kossuth Street, Poroszló. Here, two separate car parks operated by the local municipality provide more than 100 passenger car parking spaces in total. The car park in front of the Ecocentre has been expanded and now offers parking for 150 cars in total, with space for a further 40–50 vehicles, making it much easier for individual visitors to find a parking space.
Entry to this car park is prohibited for buses and other heavy vehicles.
There are dedicated parking spaces for motorcycles and for visitors with reduced mobility, as well as 2 TEA Point electric car charging stations.
Parking is available for a fee.
Fee-paying period: every day from 8:00 to 18:00.
Parking fees: for arrivals between 8:00 and 15:00 – 1,200 HUF / day; for arrivals between 15:00 and 18:00 – 600 HUF.
Gate No. 2 (entrance, exit and ticket office)
This gate operates seasonally, from early April until the end of October.
It provides access to the Ecocentre from the direction of the Poroszló Event Square and Public Beach car park and is primarily used for receiving and admitting pre-registered groups.
In the immediate vicinity, a large car park operated by an external provider offers space for several hundred passenger cars and buses, providing an ideal solution if the car parks at Gate No. 1 are already full. Parking fees: 1,200 HUF / day / car; 3,000 HUF / day / bus.
If you wish to use the restroom on arrival, we recommend that you visit the public toilets at the Tavirózsa Restaurant before purchasing your ticket; these facilities are only a few steps from our Gate No. 2 entrance and ticket office.
Gate No. 3 (entrance, exit and ticket office)
Gate No. 3 operates seasonally from early April until the end of October.
It allows access to the Ecocentre from the side of Lake Tisza for visitors arriving on foot or by bicycle; in the immediate vicinity of the ticket office there is space for around 50 bicycles.
This entrance/exit provides a direct connection to the Ecocentre harbour for participation in small-boat excursions and GPS-guided boat tours. All administration related to GPS-guided boat tours (payments, contracts, etc.) can only be carried out at the ticket office located at this gate.

By Bicycle
A high-quality asphalt cycle path runs along the 2–3-metre-high embankment surrounding Lake Tisza, forming shorter and longer loops (70 km and 120 km), allowing you to cycle all the way around the lake. The route offers superb views of the landscape, with vistas of islands, gallery forests and the beautiful water surface along the way.
To accommodate the large number of cyclists arriving in Poroszló and to provide parking for their cars, the local municipality has designated a free car park at the location marked with a yellow circle on the map (József Attila Street).
